The School disapproves strongly of term time absences for reasons other than illness except in specific circumstances. All matters relating to attendance are set out in our Attendance Policy.

To report an absence

The School must be informed on the first day of absence, by telephone or by email before 11:00 am.

Pupil absences should be reported using the following menu options on the main switchboard 01689 820101 

  • press "2" to report absence for Years 7 - 11
  • press "3" to report absence for Years 12 & 13

Application for Leave of Absence

The pupil or parent should obtain an Absence Request Form from the Attendance Officer or from the School website (see download below). When the completed form is returned, the Head of Year, in consultation with the Assistant Head, will decide whether to authorise or not and send the appropriate letter.
