The Duke of Edinburgh's Award

The Duke of Ediburgh's award scheme is a very well established programme which seeks to give all young people aged 14-24 the chance to develop skills for life and work, fulfil their potential and have a bright future. Full details of the programme can be found on the charity's website (click here).

The scheme is very popular among our students, so much so that the school has become an awarding body. Every summer and autumn, scores of our students can be found trekking across the wonderful British countryside.

Three levels of award exist; namely, Bronze (aged 14+); Silver (aged 15+); and Gold (aged 16+). Further details can be found on the subsequent pages.
