Senior Research Evening and Symposium Series - Tuesday 18th September

Our annual Senior Research Evening and Symposium Series is here once again to help inspire pupils in the Upper and Middle School at the start of the academic year. Next Tuesday 18th September evening, a podium of eight student speakers (current Year 12s and 2018 Leavers) will present on their research findings for their Higher and Extended Project Qualifications from the summer exam series. The topics on offer are diverse and fascinating, including:
  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder in the armies of Ancient Greece and Rome.
  • Cosmic Horror in the Works of H.P. Lovecraft.
  • Is it Technologically and Ethically Feasible to Colonise Mars?
  • What are the Effects of Anti-Russian Language Policy on Ethnic Russians in Estonia?
The evening will commence at 6:30 pm in The Great Hall and all members of the school community are welcome. Those taking EPQ and HPQ in this academic year are strongly encouraged to attend.
The coming fortnight will also see the return of our Symposium Series. Olavian luminaries of yesteryear will be returning to their former academic Clubs and Societies to share the benefits of their experience beyond the school and present on university-level topics which they have been learning about.
