Over 370 students from Years 9 to 11 participated in this year’s Intermediate Mathematical Challenge with impressive results attained by all Years. Record numbers of 135 gold and 114 silver, as well as 70 bronze certificates, were achieved, with an amazing 129 students qualifying for the follow-on round of the Intermediate Kangaroo competition. In addition, a creditable fourteen students qualified for the prestigious Intermediate Mathematical Olympiad. Congratulations go to the students achieving best-in-year scores, namely Joseph Fisher and Kenji Seanor (Year 9), Velian Velikov and Hieronim Lecybyl (Year 10) plus Linus Luu (Year 11). These outstanding results are further testament to the problem-solving abilities of Olavians.
