The Kent School Ski Championships of 2019 took place on a dry slope in Chatham on Sunday 12 May. There were 187 racers taking a part as individual competitors and as school teams across 4 categories (Primary and Secondary schools).
Our congratulations to Oliver Tovarlaza who had some great races, finishing 10th overall (7th in the first run and 8th in the second run) in the Secondary School category (Years 7-9) which was a very tough & competitive group of racers. His second run was one of his best runs ever since he started skiing.
To finish off the day, Oliver won a silver medal in mixed teams events.
This was a brilliant result for Oliver competing individually. We also hope to try and organise a team of 3-4 pupils to represent St. Olave's for next year’s championships, which has been hosting events for individuals and school teams for approximately 17 years.
