27 Feb - F1 in Schools South Regional Finals

Before half term 5 teams comprising of year 8-10 studetns, competed in the F1 in Schools South Regional Finals. 
The 3 Year 8 teams did very well competing in their first competition in Entry class, on the track they were especially successful where the boys were the 1st and 2nd fastest cars, with Protonic taking home the trophy for Fastest Car. Techtonik also took home the 'judges choice' award. 

In the Development class Golden Motorsports (Year 9) were performed exceptionally well placing 3rd overall and taking home 2 additional prizes for the 'best engineered car' and the 'best pit display' 

Team Electron comprised of six year 10 students were keen to secure a place at the National finals for the second year running, they were successful and won a place at national but were narrowly being pipped from winning the event by the reigning National Champions. The boys are excited to see if they can cause an upset at the National Finals in Bristol at the beginning of April and come out on top winning a place at Worlds.
