6 March - 2XV Rugby

It was a tough start to the season for the Seconds with only 14 players available for the first couple of games due to a variety of reasons. Impressively they were only narrow losses in these games notably a 32-31 loss to Colfes'. After half term break things started improving massively with greater commitment and drive shown by the team and the narrow losses were soon converted into results with only 1 loss in that half term- notable victories including a closely contested victory over Langley 25-17 and with potentially the most complete performance by an Olavian team this year with a 36-10 victory over Gravesend Grammar. Possibly the most memorable and important moment of our season was the early game with Ravenswood where the Seconds came to the realisation team unity was needed to succeed this season and this could be seen as a turning point for our season. Though we were disappointed to end the season having lost more than won the performances and spirit could not be faulted. I would like to say a big thanks to the support we had over the season and also most importantly to our coach, Mr Haines. Also a note of thanks to Mr White, who along with Mr Haines improved our standards of rugby and we look forward to another good season, if not better, next year.
