30 June - GCSE and A Level Art Exhibitions

The last month has been extremely busy time for the Art department with both students and staff working flat out to hang our annual exhibitions in the Lower Field Gallery.  First was the GCSE, displaying a wide variety of paintings, drawings, photography and digital work.  The standard, as ever, was extremely high and it was a fantastic event for friends and family to celebrate the students’ achievements.  The A level exhibition showcased some of the finest work produced in recent years.  Painting and drawing was of the highest quality and digital tablets and projectors displayed a variety of animations and films.  A level students utilised the warren of rooms in the gallery to produce a truly immersive experience.  Congratulations to all the students involved.  Thank you to the PA for the refreshments on both evenings.
