St. Olave’s continues to be well-represented at the recent London Youth Games in swimming. Felix Haslam was part of the Bromley Aquathon Team (consisting of swimming and running) which came 2nd, with Bromley finishing 5th overall. The day before, Michael Jacobs and Theodore Haslam were part of the senior team which helped Bromley to win the swimming trophy for the second year running. Last month our junior swimmers travel to Colfe’s for their last fixture of the year. With limited numbers available, the swimmers had to demonstrate both speed and endurance as they had many races to compete in; that they did so well is testament to both their physical and mental strength. Each year group experienced its fair share of success and overall it was a good win for St. Olave’s. As someone recently commented, we must be one of the best schools in the country at swimming despite not having a pool!
