56 students from Beijing, with their teachers, joined us for the final week of term to get a flavour of life in an English school. Our International Student Ambassadors and others acted as ‘buddies’ throughout the week, taking them along to lessons and shepherding them through the day. The latter half of the week saw them engaging in a day of sports, a day of creative art, making models, and a day of outdoor pursuits. Thank you to Oluwatofunmi Oguntunde, Joshua Gayle, James Harms, Sam Jolly and Michael Jian who were particularly helpful with the games sessions and to Michael Sun whose fluent Mandarin was invaluable for translations. It was lovely to hear one of the Chinese girls (proudly sporting an Olave’s tie!) say "I love this school."
