21 Feb - Swimming Gala successes

Kssa

Before Half term pupils in Years 7 – 9 were involved in 3 swimming galas.

The gala at Sevenoaks School was always going to be close and although ultimately Sevenoaks won 165-161 there were many individual victories. The seniors managed to win against their counterparts 58-47 and there were some fine performances for the juniors and intermediates.

The week before that the Year 7 travelled to Farrington’s  - lots of swimmers impressed and it was great to see them get involved in representing the school and encouraging each other. Noah Saunders and Joseph Davies competed very strongly in their races, often winning or coming 1st and 2nd if they were in the same race! Then on the Tuesday swimmers from Year 7 – 9 travelled to Eltham College to compete against Eltham and Colfe’s. Again, the swimmers impressed and we won 9 of the 30 races held. The Year 7 continued to do well, and Jeffrey Akintolu, Nicholas Teo and Jamaal Francis also racked up several wins. Well done to everyone who competed and represented the school so well both in and out of the pool.
