Art students in Year 10 visited the Royal Academy in London to see the Dali/Duchamp exhibition. During a guided tour of the show they discussed the impact of the work on society at the time, and discovered more about the relationship between the two artists. In the afternoon they made the short journey to the Photographers’ Gallery where they saw Wim Wender’s exhibition of Polaroid photographs: Instant Stories. Inspired the use of colour and narrative in his work they later created their own versions. The contrasting exhibitions will help fuel students ideas for their current project and we look forward to seeing the work they create over the rest of the year.
