17 July - Year 9 British Council Art workshop

002

Year 9 artists took part in an exciting art workshop run by the British Council last week as part of their Rivers of The World programme. Visiting artist Shona Watts discussed the issue of pollution in the rivers of Lagos in Nigeria with the students who went on to create their own embossed decorative metal pieces to represent rubbish and recycling. Their work will be assembled by Shona and exhibited at The Gallery@oxo on the South Bank as part of the Totally Thames festival from 29th August – 9th September alongside that of the Grace High School in Nigeria, the school we are partnered with for the project, before travelling to other galleries around the UK and the world!
