Congratulations to our Year 11 students and their teachers on another excellent set of results. With 86.7% at grades 9 – 7 or A*/A and 72% at grades 9/8 or A*, students have risen magnificently to the challenge of the new reformed GCSEs. 19 students obtained ten or more GCSEs at grades 9/8 or A*, with seven of those students gaining grades 9 or A* in every subject.
Andrew Rees, Headteacher, said: “The overall results for St Olave’s are once again outstanding. Students and teachers should be very proud of their achievements, especially when you consider they have been obtained in tougher, reformed qualifications. It is a tribute to everyone’s hard work and dedication. These results have been achieved by students who have not only been focussing on their academic performance, but have been active on the sports field, performing in musical concerts and drama productions, leading clubs and societies and engaging in Duke of Edinburgh.”
