Over half term the Year 9 rugby squad travelled to Oxford for a two match rugby tour. After stopping en route for some ten pin bowling we settled into our accommodation and then travelled to Newbury RFC for the first match. A very competitive match ended with the hosts winning 43-27 but both sides displayed some excellent attacking rugby . The following day was busy – training on the Oxford Harlequins RFC 4g pitch, followed by Laser Kombat and then onto Chinnor RFC for our second match. Again it was very close with plenty of tries for both teams and respect earned whichever jersey was worn. The last day saw us Go Karting which proved great fun for everyone, although even more competitive from some! A very enjoyable tour with a group of players who acquitted themselves extremely well and did us proud.
