The University of Oxford’s Department of Computer Science, and Hertford College, are holding an event for top scoring pupils of the 2018 UK Bebras Computational Thinking Challenge. We are please to announce that St Olave’s Grammar school students’ results have placed them among the best in the country, and with that in mind, our top scorers are being invited to the second stage of the Bebras Challenge, which is being held in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Oxford in February 2019. Our outstanding results include 127 Distinctions and 120 Merits which is phenomenal.
Congratulation to all students who received Distinction or Merit certificate but special congratulations to Sam Campell 7H, Harry Chen 9M, Joseph Fisher 9M, Adam Steer 9L, Aaditya Deshmukh 10K, Hieronim Lecybyl 10K, Linus Luu 11M and William Guest 12P for receiving a personalised invitation letter from the University of Oxford. The event will include academic lectures and the chance to explore an Oxford College, as well as take part in the second stage of the Bebras challenge and an awards ceremony. We wish them all the best for the second round.
