26 November - From the English Department

The Senior Debating team have been busy this term: attending a workshop in September and competing in the Cambridge Schools' competition in November. They narrowly missed going through to the next round.

Meanwhile Years 9 & 10 enjoyed a day of Public Speaking Training including professional training in active workshops. Everyone rose to the challenge and made great progress. Each student presented a 3 minute speech demonstrating their skill and intellect.

Finally, prizes have recently been presented to 3 budding poets who crafted very successful entries to this year's National Poetry Day competition on the theme 'remember'. Winners were Nathan Jossa Year 8, Yannick Springer-Hughes Year 11 and Jack Bradfield Year 13.
