Vacancy for Lunchtime Dining Area Supervisor - Term time only

We have a vacancy for an immediate start (or alternatively from the start of the Spring term in January 2017) for someone to help with the supervision of pupils in Years 7 to 11  in the dining hall or for Sixth Form students in the Sixth Form Pavilion.

The role is to ensure a good standard of behaviour of the students while they eat their lunch, supervising clearance of dirty plates and cutlery by the pupils to the correct place dealing with any spillages etc and wiping down dining tables. A duty member of the teaching staff is also on call in case of need.

This is a term time only position for 38 weeks a year.  Salary is paid monthly pro-rata at a rate equivalent to £16,344.00 pa FTE which is approximately £8.77 per hour for the time worked.

Hours are 12.30 – 13.45 each day. The role may be undertaken from Monday to Friday but there is no necessity to cover all five days of the week and most of the team of people in the role do two or three.

Vacancy for Technician for Design Technology Department

A part-time job-sharing vacancy (likely to be two days per week) has arisen at St Olave’s for a Technician for the Design Technology Department to join the existing member of staff who would like to reduce her working hours. A detailed description of the role is attached. Relevant technical skills or qualifications and experience are essential.

The hours are essentially full-time during School terms (38 weeks pa) plus ideally a few further days for preparation before the start of each term.

The salary for the position is around £16,000 FTE which would equate to around £5,000 to £6,000 for the actual hours involved.
