The Governing Body is the admission authority for the School and is therefore responsible for admissions.
As a designated State Grammar School we select pupils purely on the basis of high academic performance in our Entrance Tests or, for Sixth Form, in their GCSEs.
Our main points of entry are in Year 7 and Year 12. In addition, up to 10 places in Year 7 are available each year for applicants in receipt of Pupil Premium and up to 4 places are available annually via the Wakeham Choristership Scheme for which applicants may apply during their Year 5 at primary school. On rare occasions a vacancy may arise ‘in year’.
Our over-subscription criteria is set out in our Admissions Policy.
Further information can be found via the sub-menus in this section.
