Wellbeing Garden Project

St. Olave's is raising funds towards the development of a legacy Wellbeing Garden project, creating a quiet, reflective space for students who need time away from the hustle and bustle of the school day.

This project is of great significance - The wellbeing of our students is paramount and we believe children’s mental health and wellbeing is of vital importance in their academic journey. This innovative project aims to further support the pastoral care already in place to foster & support good mental health in all our Olavians.

The area being developed is situated in the picturesque old 'Headmaster's' garden.

enriching the pastoral experience of current & future Olavians

Stage One of this unique project is now complete thanks to the generosity of family, friends from St. Olave's and Cambridge University and work colleagues of Old Olavian, Harry McAleer. The Wellbeing garden now offers a gentle water feature as well as sensory planting and integrated seating in and around the garden for all students to enjoy when needing some quiet time.

To complete this project we now need to raise approximately £50,000.

Our aim now is to complete Stage Two of this legacy development by creating easy access gates, additional shaded seating and a flat patio area for students, who will then be able to make use of this area throughout the spring, summer and winter months.

Thank you.

HarryThanks to the generosity of family, friends, colleagues and those whose lives he touched at St. Olave's and at Cambridge University, we raised a substantial amount of money towards Stage One of this project, following the Memorial Rugby Event held on January 27th, celebrating the life of much loved Old Olavian, Harry McAleer.
