Donations/Matched Funding

The Parents' Association of St. Olave's Grammar School has registered Charity status (Charity No. 312601).

Gift Aid is an easy way for us to increase the value of gifts of money from UK taxpayers by claiming back the basic rate tax paid by the donor from HMRC (and thereby increasing your donation by 25%).

A substantial part of fundraising profits can be acquired through Matched Funding. This scheme enables people who make donations to charitable organisations, such as schools, to ask the company they work for to donate an equivalent amount. Not all companies do, however an increasing number of large companies operate a match funding scheme whereby they “match” charity fundraising undertaken by their employees. These organisations set aside millions of pounds to fund such schemes and are more than happy to support their staff in raising money for charities of their choice. The amounts donated range from approximately £250 to £1000+ per employee per
event.
As the Parents’ Association is a registered charity (Charity no. 312601) we are in a position to benefit from your involvement, however big or small.
