Unifrog
Unifrog is an online platform that supports secondary schools to deliver their statutory duty to provide students with impartial and independent guidance on the full range of post-school options. The platform is particularly helpful because it is one of the only places students can compare every undergraduate university course in the UK as well as international opportunities. Additionally, the Unifrog platform allows students to access FE courses and the most comprehensive list of apprenticeships available across the country, including higher, SLP and degree apprenticeships.
Once students have explored their interests and compared the full range of pathways available to them, Unifrog provides one place for students to draft all materials needed for applications such as CVs or Personal Statements.
All students in Years 7 - 13 now have access to this website, with the view to expand access in the upcoming year, in keeping with our commitment to provide students with outstanding careers guidance and tailored support when choosing their next step after school.
To log in for the first time, students will be given a sign-up code which is unique to their Form Group.
Benefits for Students |
---|
We use Unifrog's Placements Tool (www.unifrog.org) to manage the administration of the work experience programme – for example collecting information from the employer about their Risk Assessment and Health & Safety policies, as well as getting agreement from parents/carers for the placement to go ahead.
Unifrog has compiled a comprehensive guide to seeking work experience please see the following link to benefit from this guide - For students: a guide to placements / work experience : Unifrog Placement Guides
The following are some important logistics which Unifrog has outlined:
- Students need to agree the placement with the employer first and initiate the process by adding the placement to their Unifrog account (they’ll find the Placements tool on their Unifrog homepage).
- The Unifrog system will then email the employer, the parent / guardian, and the school, to collect the necessary information and permission. For the process to work, it’s essential that students add the initial information about the placement accurately.
- Unifrog have created a set of guides about placements which you can find here.
- Within this set of guides, this is the best one to start with (it includes a short animation of how the whole process works).
Benefits for teachers |

Unifrog is a whole-school platform for KS3, KS4 and KS5 which allows teachers to track their pupils’ progress and keep a record of the their research and careers interactions. It makes it easy for teachers to collaborate with students on finding their best next step for them. They’re able to provide feedback on applications such as CVs or Personal Statements as well as writing their subject references.
