Fives Success

The team was just superb recently during one of those exciting en-masse fixtures away on the Eton Courts. All 15 pairs were on at the same time, with many pairs' seeding confirmation for next week’s Nationals depending on today’s result; the last fixture of the season.

Fifteen pairs took part, and amazingly, St Olave’s only lost one pair, drew three others, and won all the rest. The fixture was won 12.5 vs 2.5. Most crucially, our top two senior pairs and top three outstanding U16s (of which two pairs are actually U15s) all won in straight sets, 3-0, despite very strong opposition.

This cements our first seed status for both Open and U16s next week.

The team has worked extremely hard all year, and this was a tremendous result against Eton College, who are currently one of the strongest teams. Congratulations to all involved, who are just the most fantastic ambassadors for the school, both on and off the court!
