F1 in Schools National Finals - RESULTS

Some amazing news, and images from the F1 National Finals this week.
The competition was strong, with over 500 teams initially competing across 16 Regions and then 64 teams competing across the 2 classes at the National Finals. All 4 Olavian teams did extremely well with 3 of our teams ending up on the 2 podiums!
Tori Veloci (Year 12) our most experienced team, finished in 2nd place and have been offered a place to represent the UK and compete at the National Finals in Singapore later this year.
They finished 18th last year, so a real improvement from them, a testament to their hard work and dedication. They also picked up the R&D award.
Hyperstorm (Y10) and Blitz (Y10) finished 2nd and 3rd respectively in the Development class, showing the strength in depth in the school.
Hyperstorm (Y10) also picked up Best Engineered car and the R&D award.
We don't know Phoenix Motorsports (Y9) final position yet, but I wouldn't be surprised if they were 4th.
As well as the 6 awards, the teams also received 5 nominations, meaning they were in the top 3 for these awards as well.
The boys have worked so hard, so it is lovely their efforts are being richly rewarded.Congratulations to them all.
