STEM Challenge - Southern Finals

As winners of the South East London STEM Challenge Day in the summer Jacky and Gabriel were invited to complete in the STEM Challenge Southern finals.

They competed in a team with two students from Haberdasher's School. During the day they competed with teams of students from various regions in Southern England. They were tasked with writing code to programme an EV3 lego mindstorm robot so that it could navigate around a 3-D maze.

The students greatly enjoyed this task and were successful in getting their robot around the maze, after a great deal of teamwork and many attempts and manipulations to their code.

It was a close competition, but Jacky and Gabriel did extremely well to place second in the competition.

They also enjoyed a tour of the University of Greenwich Medway Campus as part of the day. Well done to Jacky and Gabriel for their hard work!
